What is Soft Tissue Oscillation Therapy?
Soft Tissue Oscillation Therapy is an application of an intermittent electrostatic field established between the treatment probe and the patient's tissues. The probe's unique construction utilizes a non-conductive layer to prevent current flow, thus creating an electrostatic field (magnetic force) between the probe and the tissue.

By quickly alternating the polarity, a push -pull effect is created by attracting and repelling charged particles in the tissue. The resulting vibratory/mechanical action is highly effective in the treatment of both acute and chronic pain. Incorporating manual techniques with the probe may result in additional circulatory benefits.

Soft Tissue Oscillation Therapy combines two common approaches to the management of soft-tissue injury and disability. These two approaches include:

1. Electrotherapy for pain control and stimulation of circulation
2. Manual Therapy/Massage for pail and circulatory benefits, as well as the benefits of soft-tissue mobilization.
